Each year, Meals on Wheels providers across Ontario participate in March for Meals, an annual campaign to increase awareness and community engagement with local Meals on Wheels providers across North America.

Meals on Wheels in Ontario: Quick Facts

Meals on Wheels are delivered in all communities across Ontario.

125 not-for-profit organizations reported receiving provincial funding to provide Meals on Wheels in Ontario.

Government funding covers only part of the cost – the difference is made up by donations and/or client fees.

Meals on Wheels delivered 3,332,117 meals to 61,018
 Ontarians in 2022-2023.

Community Champions Week 

During Community Champions Week, Meals on Wheels programs welcome their local mayors, elected officials, local celebrities and other prominent community figures in creative ways to deliver meals, speak out for seniors and people with disabilities and raise awareness for the power of Meals on Wheels.


This year, Community Champions Week will be celebrated March 18 - 22, 2024.
